At the San Francisco Women’s Housing Coalition, we believe housing is a fundamental right.

Too many women in our city face homelessness, displacement, and housing insecurity. Through advocacy and policy change, we’re working toward a future where every woman has access to safe, affordable housing.

Our coalition model is rooted in the power of collective action, because real change happens when we organize as one. Together we are stronger.

We are proud to share this comprehensive report on the state of homelessness among women in San Francisco.

Women experience homelessness in unique and often overlooked ways, especially in comparison to their male counterparts, requiring gender-based solutions. This report highlights the specific challenges faced by unhoused women and outlines actionable, comprehensive strategies to address their needs.
